Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Pisces September 7-8, 2025
Pisces is a Mutable Water sign ruled by Neptune and Jupiter. Symbolized by the 2 fish swimming upstream in opposite directions representing duality, the conscious and subconscious mind and the constant connection between materialism and spirituality. Pisces is the psychic faculty and considered to be the most empathetic of the zodiac due to the nature of feeling the emotions of those surrounding them. Pisces often sees people and the world through rose colored lenses.
The Twelfth House is ruled by Pisces and where we look for confinement, hospitals, secrets in general and past lives. The Twelfth House is called the anxiety closet and where we hide our fears. It is important for Pisces to connect with their Spiritual Self instead of using drugs or alcohol to handle difficulties in life. It does not necessarily have to be drugs or alcohol, it could be chocolate, and Pisces using their discernment to set healthy boundaries is a must. Pisces is the Mystic, Dreamer, Poet, Visionary, the Addict and/or the Space Cadet. Piscean crystals are rose quartz, calcite, suglalite, aquamarine and moonstone.
This Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse lasting just over five hours during overnight and being seen in regions of Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, western part of North America, southern part of South America, Artic and Antarctica. At times it will appear as a red color, dubbing it the “blood moon”. Spiritually speaking, this is the time to release negative habits, beliefs and relationships and be open to transformation particularly involving facing fears. Throughout history eclipses have many meanings in different cultures but a common theme is rebirth.
Take time to declutter, and cleanse your physical space while also meditating on the dark side of the subconscious like anger, shame or grief and find peace within yourself. Pay close attention to your intuition and following your instincts. Crystals, ritual baths, writing and being near water are perfect for helping with the release of negativity.
Uranus has stationed retrograde the day before remaining until early February 2026. It joins Saturn, Neptune and Pluto also in retrograde motion which brings delays and a sense of things not moving. Like an eclipse, retrograde motion connects to our dark side and inner most realm of the subconscious mind. Looking in the mirror and having honest conversations with ourself are challenging but very necessary. Now is the opportunity to disrupt and break unhealthy patterns and start fresh with more positive outlooks and prospects.
Being able to go with the flow in a calm balanced nature will bring the sense of wellbeing, and give the opportunity to practice patience with yourself and others. Eclipses act as triggers and following your inner voice even it feels a little scary will in the end bring great growth and contentment. We always feel a boost of confidence and energy when we have faced down our dragons and arrived standing on solid ground recognizing our battle scars as badges of honor and accomplishment.
