Leo the lion – hear me roar! A fire fixed sign ruled by the Sun and ruler of the fifth house in the natural Zodiac. Represents children, entertainment, the arts, romance, leaders and speculation. Archetypes like the clown, the king or queen, performer, spoiled brat, prima donna, aristocrat and the child. Rules the heart and upper back of the body. High blood pressure is a common symptom of imbalance within the body and healing herbs are; Yarrow, Hawthorn, Wood Betony and Linden. Crystals and gems falling under Leo rulership are; Peridot, Ruby, Sunstone, Tigers Eye, Opal and Amber. Leo is loyal and demands the Truth.
This new Leo Moon is at five degrees and the Sabian Symbol is “Rock formations at the edge of a precipice” – is something changing with Mount Rushmore? Mankind is challenged by crisis and can no longer idlily stand by and watch deception. Leo is endurance and digs deep to find the courage and strength to shine Light on the truth even at the cost of shattering what some perceive as reality. These are times to break the chains of enslavement and be free, live your Truth and lead others to their authentic Selves.
Jupiter in Aries stations retrograde the same day making a Trine to the New Moon and big shifts of energy are being manifest. Corrupt leaders are falling, the truth is being exposed and although the truth is often difficult to accept, it is imperative to accept in order to live a genuine life. Pride and ego may be taking a hit or two but moving beyond bullheadedness is positive growth and maturity. Emotional maturity and Spiritual maturity. What is your legacy? Where does your heart lie and with whom? Are you being true to your heart? These are a few of the contemplations during the Leo New Moon.
The triple conjunction in Taurus between Mars, Uranus and the North Node will present as earthquakes and sudden disruptions with banking systems, the internet and electrical grid. Mars is the warrior and emboldens humanity to fight for justice, freedom and living in peace. Exposure of traitors, double agents and those that would have us believe they have our best interest at heart but in reality, only seek to control and disempower communities for their own selfish pursuit of greed and power. The age-old struggle between good and evil, dark and the Light. Hard times are fated to claim the precious parts of life – love, peace and harmony. The lion can get lazy and needs to have a shake up, establish boundaries and teach those concepts distinguishing a compassionate heart from the beast (or ego within).
Current energies are teaching challenging lessons about not taking anything for granted, practice daily gratitude, being authentic and open minded. Most important of all is the lesson of listening to your own heart and staying true to your heart. We must seek and nurture our own inner roar and guard steadfastly against negative self-talk, addictions or outside influences that are not for our Highest Good. Mercury will be holding hands with the Moon by the weekend and communications will be dramatic but honest. We are in the lazy days of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere with the North Node, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all retrograde, so it is important to be vigilant with your breath work and meditation to maintain a keen sense of your environment and keep calm, cool and collected!
